KNIGHT’S PATH
You reach platform with a checkered floor. Engraved on the wall are the words:
“Cross this floor as only a True Knight can.”
How will you get to the door across the platform?
Solution:
Players are standing on a massive chessboard. To cross, they must jump to the squares that a knight can move to. Step on the wrong square and it will collapse or trigger a trap.
Notes for the Dungeon Master:
This grid will help with navigating the chessboard. The first available moves are marked.
For more challenge, add aggressive chess pieces who attack based on player position.
Landing on these enemy pieces will kill them.
Put an evil Rook at A7 and a wicked Bishop at D5 to block the most obvious paths.
Try creating your own arrangements - be sure there is a safe way across.
