You reach a sealed door. Beside the door there are three engraved placards.

Engraved in a shiny golden metal are the letters: BJGY

Engraved in a bright silvery metal are the letters: NDGQZM

Engraved in a deep red metal are the letters: RDIZ

Below the placards, a goblet is attached to the wall. How will you get past the jumbled lock?

Solution:

The letters are a -5 cipher.

Go back five letters in the alphabet to reveal the words: GOLD, SILVER and WINE

Putting wine in the cup will open the door!

Notes for the Dungeon Master:

This puzzle requires wine to be in the player inventories. Replace the WINE with any object or fluid they have on them.

In our game, I used the word TINKLE. A player peed in the cup - but that may not be for you.

This alphabet may be helpful for creating your own cipher.
