ON THE MEND

You are trapped within a sealed dungeon. As you explore, you find shards of metal, torn paper and broken gems. Putting them together, you realize they form three objects.

How will you use these objects to escape?

NOTES FOR THE DUNGEON MASTER

Draw some items and cut them into a real jigsaw puzzle!

These pieces can be put together into a map, a key or a unique item for your quest.

It’s fun to put give players pieces randomly so they have to separate the three objects.

Throw some enemies in around the dungeon so they have to fight while they work on the puzzle.

SOLUTIONS:

Sword - Rebuild the shattered sword and apply heat to forge it together. Place it in a Knight’s scabbard to open a door.

Map - Put the pieces of the torn map back together to reveal a secret passageway.

Diamond - Place the diamond in a tiara to summon the ghost of a princess who can free you.

Find good thinking music that suits your dungeon. Perhaps it’s echoey horror or medieval melodies.
